The History

Sierra Oaks was founded in 2004, and construction was finished the following year. It has evolved into the safe and amenable community it is today as a result of decades of development.

The neighborhood’s history, however, stretches far back. It belongs to the historical city of Rocklin. When the Central Pacific Railroad Act of 1862 was passed, property in Secret Ravine was set aside for the railroad's use. In 1864, the Central Pacific Railroad finished building a new track that went from Newcastle to Secret Ravine. It gave the location the name Rocklin after the granite quarry nearby. Rocklin was utilized as a refueling and water stop.

Rocklin has evolved into a bustling CA city made up of different thriving neighborhoods, not the least of which is Sierra Oaks.
